Blue Star and Gold Star Memorials
In 2023, the Cary Garden Club presented the citizens of Cary with a Blue Star Memorial. This memorial honors all the men and women of Cary who have served, are serving and will serve in the Armed Forces of the United States.
Because the Blue Star Memorial was so well received, the club decided to dedicate a Gold Star Memorial in May 2024. This memorial honors the families of servicemen and women who sacrificed their lives while serving in the military. The Memorial Plaques were donated by the Town of Cary, and the small garden where the plaques are located will be maintained by the Cary Garden Club. These memorials are located at the Veterans Freedom Park, 1517 N. Harrison Ave in Cary.

Annual Silent Auction and Luncheon
This annual fundraising event is held every November for our members and their guests. It is a great way to start your holiday shopping as each year brings a different assortment of auction items. Lunch is catered by a local restaurant - this is a "not to miss" event!

Arbor Day
The Environmental Committee of the Cary Garden Club will be representing the club at the Town of Cary Arbor Day Celebration. This year it was held at the Page-Walker courtyard lawn on the Cary Town Hall campus. Many residents came to visit with us and other environmentally focused community groups!

Cary Senior Center Holiday Arts and Craft Fair

Our club's crafts committee participates in this annual event. It is open to the public and provides a great way to get an early start on your holiday shopping!

Gifting Tree Project
The Cary Garden Club participates in this fun, festive event sponsored by the Town of Cary. Decorated Christmas trees line downtown Cary along Academy Street for several weeks during the holiday season. Last year, the decorations were based on the theme: Pollinator Garden.

Holiday Luncheon
In December each year, we hold our Annual Holiday Luncheon at the NC State University Club in Raleigh. The Special Events committee plans a lovely event for our members. After lunch, there is creative entertainment as we continue our annual support for the Marine "Toys for Tots" toy drive.

National Garden Week
Yearly, the Club participates in celebrating the National Garden Week with garden displays in libraries, the
Cary Senior Center, and around the area.
